Pops' Bowling Alley
Grandpa Ike
Gigi and PopPop's
We took the kids over to my grandparents house tonight to cook dinner and enjoy some quality time with the family. It was great to see Gigi, Aunt Dorothy, Uncle Brian and Debbie, Aunt Becky and Jade, Red, Heidi, AJ & Jaxson and of course, Mamie & Pops. The kids had a blast playing outside and riding the "Ranger" over the hill while the adults ate way too much chicken alfredo and homemade apple pie. That place gives me such an intense feeling of nostalgia. It is one of those places that is deeply connected to my soul. I was so happy to share it with my kids today...
Wickham's Farm
My 6th grade teacher's family owns a farm and have a pumpkin patch around the corner from the church. I met Kelly and her friends this afternoon and decided to pick up a pumpkin for Grandma and Grandpa's house. The kids loved the corn tunnel, train, and the crow cannon. Heidi and AJ met us there too. I really just loved the pumpkin cookies. Autumn in NY is spectacular!!!

Pantalooms

So my friend Megan (Bag Lady link on right) has wanted me to order something for Lily for quite some time. I am not sure if it is because she thinks Lily is poorly dressed or because she has two boys and a need to sew pink fabric. SO....I decided to order her a birthday outfit since we will be spending her actual birthday in NY and will also have lots of celebration festivities here too. And...because (as my mom reminds me regularily) I'm not much of a girly girl and I shouldn't force my college softball player ways on my daughter. She should have a choice to be a tom boy. So I unleashed Megan to create her something spectacular. The result...prilly, frilly, girly, Lily...and boy did she love it. The ruffle pantalooms can be worn under the dress or separately. The outfit was complete with some red Mary Janes. She loved it so much I had a hard time getting her out of it last night. A big thanks to Megan for putting so much love into each stitch...
