O'Bryan 500

The driveway has become the track for many neck in neck races. Although there are several winners, I think Nonny takes the "Best Motor" award for this one.

Meanwhile, Lily just hangs out, wondering what we're going to do next.

I am little nervous to take the training wheels off. Maybe Santa will bring a bigger bike so we can work on it this spring. We'll see....

Halfway to 70...

I think I've passed it on...the kids love to celebrate birthdays as much as I do. Here are some pics from RobBob's 35th birthday a few weeks ago...

NY Day Six: Sandbar and Switz

Our time on Keuka Lake came to a close, so we packed up the car and headed north to spend the day with my oldest and dearest, Kelly. We had a great time just hanging out on the back deck, dodging the rain, and watching the kids play.

Later that night, we headed to the Sandbar with the Sheridans and Calabreses for a nice dinner on the water.

RobBob and I then went back down to one of my favorite places, The Switz to hang out with some old friends from the lake. We danced to Michael Jackson and forgot our camera!

It was so great to see old friends again. Only one more day...

NY Day Five: Love Tank

On the way home from Seneca Farms, my love tank was full. 17 years ago, I moved 15 hours away from wonderful parents, slightly crazy brothers, and a super close family.

Everytime I come home, its as if I never left. When my mom's family comes together, the love and laughter abounds and yesterday was no different.

We started the day at the lake

watching the kids swim...

and fish...

and canoe...

After dinner, we headed down to the go kart place with the entire crew and here's the great thing...EVERYONE raced, including my 80 year old grandpa. Here are some highlights:

In the 1st race, Pipi and Pops brought up the rear...

In the 2nd race, Tate was VERY disappointed in his driving partner, Mamie who apparently drives too slow...

The competition heated up as Bobo continued to run his ever-flapping mouth, but the girls gave him a run for his money...

while Aunt Mims and Lil were just in it for a Thursday evening cruise...

Nothing makes the race complete, like a small chocolate with rainbow sprinkles from Seneca Farms.

Checking out of the cottage today and spending the weekend with my high school friends. The trip is closing down :(

NY Day Four: Photo Shoot & Uncle Joe's

My cousin, Ashley, came down to take some pics since we hadn't been together in awhile. It was brutal, but definitely worth it in the end...they turned out great!

Last night we had a great dinner with the Roesch's at our favorite meeting place...

Mr. Roesch was my history teacher/softball coach and Mrs. Roesch was the school psychologist who I needed regular therapy from :)

What was awesome was that we actually got to have adult conversation while Red, Heidi, Bobo and Igglers manned the kid table. I am so blessed to have maintained a relationship with them and have two awesome mentors.

NY Day Three: 36 Years, 3 Kids, and 4 Grandkids Later...

There's 13 of us and let me just say...we don't travel lightly. So yesterday when we woke up and there was rain, I knew we were in for some funtimes. The kids were whiney from a week with no naps and the boys were whiney from their cancelled tee time. We decided to make it an outlet shopping day. It took us a million years to get everything done and everyone ready to head out. Fortunately for us, the monsoon ceased shortly after we got there and we were able to do some serious shopping.
After shopping, we went to a great italian restaurant to celebrate Mamie and Pops' anniversary just the way they would like it...with their kids and grandkids...surrounded by chaos.

The Hurleys arrived yesterday and we are so excited to spend some time with them. The dart and pool competitions have already begun.

Off to the lake...
