Wickham's Farm

My 6th grade teacher's family owns a farm and have a pumpkin patch around the corner from the church. I met Kelly and her friends this afternoon and decided to pick up a pumpkin for Grandma and Grandpa's house. The kids loved the corn tunnel, train, and the crow cannon. Heidi and AJ met us there too. I really just loved the pumpkin cookies. Autumn in NY is spectacular!!!

Extreme Home Makeover

Thought I'd post a pic of the Extreme Home Makeover House that was done in Geneva. We think the show will be in November. It's a beautiful house and of course, I look like the total tourist jumping out of the car to take a picture...

Pantalooms

So my friend Megan (Bag Lady link on right) has wanted me to order something for Lily for quite some time. I am not sure if it is because she thinks Lily is poorly dressed or because she has two boys and a need to sew pink fabric. SO....I decided to order her a birthday outfit since we will be spending her actual birthday in NY and will also have lots of celebration festivities here too. And...because (as my mom reminds me regularily) I'm not much of a girly girl and I shouldn't force my college softball player ways on my daughter. She should have a choice to be a tom boy. So I unleashed Megan to create her something spectacular. The result...prilly, frilly, girly, Lily...and boy did she love it. The ruffle pantalooms can be worn under the dress or separately. The outfit was complete with some red Mary Janes. She loved it so much I had a hard time getting her out of it last night. A big thanks to Megan for putting so much love into each stitch...

Baby Anabelle

This weekend, Lily and I drove down to Michelle's baby shower. We decided to stay the whole weekend so we could help her get the nursery ready. I really enjoyed the mother-daughter time with Lil. She has such a beautiful spirit and it makes spending time with her such a joy. She is loving, sweet, funny and just an amazing blessing in my life. At some point in the shower she ran over to me and in her not so quiet voice said, "Mommy, I want a baby sister". My mouth dropped...I'm still trying to figure out which one of the girls put her up to it.

Park

The kids waited anxiously for daddy to return from the UK game with Bobo. When they woke up from their nap, he was here and all they wanted to do was cuddle with him in the bed. Eventually we headed over to the park to run some energy off. They had a great time on the rope swing and the slide while Nonny and I played a competitive game of badminton.

Going...Going...Gone

Lily decided to try the swinging ropes at the playground today...

Truvy's Salon

Well my daughter's new hobby is a painful one. Anyone that walks in to our house with any length of hair is subject to her pulling and yanking hair into a rubberband. She says she's "prettying" you. I think I have another word for it...its called torture!!!
